CBE student selected as Astronaut Scholarship recipient

Michael Bowen, a senior studying chemical engineering and economics, has been selected as a 2019-20 Astronaut Scholar. He was presented the award on Wednesday, October 2, in Talley Student Union by Maj. Gen. Charles Frank Bolden Jr., a retired astronaut and former NASA Administrator.

Augustyn selected for Department of Energy’s Early Career Research Program

Dr. Veronica Augustyn, assistant professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University, has been selected to receive funding as part of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Early Career Research Program.
