We appreciate your interest in pursuing a career in engineering and are ready to help you accomplish your goal! Engineering is a profession filled with opportunities, challenges and rewards. Transferring Courses

Every year, more than 25% of the students receiving a degree in engineering at North Carolina State University are students who began their education at another institution. They come from community colleges, four-year colleges and universities, and from institutions in foreign countries. All need to know the following:

Degree Requirements

Once you have determined if you meet the transfer admission requirements, you may want to find out more about our engineering programs and their requirements. In addition to engineering courses, all engineering students are required to complete courses from the approved Humanities and Social Sciences list.

Dean Martin-Vega congratulates engineering students who received the 2009 Future of Engineering Award for designing and building a temporary pedestrian bridge outside the Legislative Building in Raleigh.

Financial Assistance and Work Experience

Scholarships are available to College of Engineering transfer students. In addition, the university offers many types of financial aid. Co-op programs are also available to give students real-world job experience while pursuing their degrees.
