NC State engineering senior first to receive Newman Fellowship

In the Institute for Emerging Issues commons area of the James B. Hunt Jr. Library, children can often be found running back and forth in front of a wall of interactive digital screens. Those screens are a hit with younger visitors to the NC State campus because sensors installed on each pull up a panel of information and make a clicking noise when someone is standing nearby. To a child, running the length of the wall is like sliding a finger along a giant keyboard. 

Dr. Louis Martin-Vega, dean of the College of Engineering, presents the 2016 RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension to Dr. Veena Misra.

Dr. Veena Misra, Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University and director of the National Science Foundation ASSIST Center, is the thirty-second recipient of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension.

Thousands expected at NC State Engineering Career Fair Oct. 1-2

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University will hold its biannual Engineering Career Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Jane S. McKimmon Center on the NC State campus from 9:30 to 4:00 p.m. Media coverage is invited.
