Thousands expected at NC State Engineering Career Fair Oct. 1-2

What: The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University holds its biannual Engineering Career Fair, one of the largest career fairs in the nation for engineering students. Media coverage is invited.

Who: The Engineering Career Fair brings thousands of engineering students, alumni, and other job seekers from the community as well as universities across the nation together with top employers looking to fill jobs and internships. More than 315 companies and government agencies will be represented. Previous Engineering Career Fairs have drawn job seekers from colleges and universities across the country. The Fall 2012 event drew 291 companies and 5,687 job seekers.

When: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Where: The Jane S. McKimmon Center at 1101 Gorman Street on the NC State campus in Raleigh. Parking is available at the McKimmon Center, and shuttle buses will run from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cost: The event is free for job seekers.
