Reese Cole

Hey everyone! My name is Reese Cole and I’m a sophomore studying Biological Engineering. In addition to Engineering Ambassadors, I am also the social media and outreach committee chair for my engineering society chapter at NC State, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). This past summer I had the opportunity to intern at C&J Building Solutions back in my hometown of Richmond, VA, where I strengthened my coding and data analytics skills. Along with my internship, I also worked full-time as a server at Hermitage Country Club and will be continuing similar experiences at Carolina Country Club starting this fall! Victoria Wright

Hi, I’m Victoria Wright! I am a senior from Richmond, VA majoring in Biological Engineering with a concentration in Ecological Engineering! At NC State, I am a yoga and cardio dance instructor at WellRec and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta & Studio 804 Ballet Company. During the summers, I’ve completed a research internship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022 and an internship at the Environmental Protection Agency in Denver in 2023, which I will be continuing through the school year! Eleanor Meinhold

Hi! My name is Eleanor Meinhold. I’m a sophomore studying Biological and Agricultural Engineering. My on-campus involvement includes the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, Girls Engineering Change, Alpha Phi Omega, Park Scholarships, as well as the University Honors and Scholars program. Service, mentorship, and representation are near and dear to my heart, so if you have any questions about getting involved in those areas – let me know! This summer I completed a NC State maymester study abroad entitled “Italy: Environmental Change and Evolution” and I also attended my third Taylor Swift Concert!

Sarah Landers

Hey everyone! I’m Sarah Landers, a junior at NC State majoring in Biological and Agricultural Engineering with a minor in Soil Science. On campus I am involved in the Grand Challenge Scholars Program (with a focus on Managing the Nitrogen Cycle), the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, Fencing Club at NC State, and of course Engineering Ambassadors. This summer I had the opportunity to intern with a local engineering firm, Agriwaste Technology, and hope to gain more experience relating to waste management this year through research with the BAE department. Alexa Jimenez

Hey everyone! I’m a senior from Wake Forest, NC majoring in biomedical engineering with minors in Spanish and biotechnology. I’m pursuing a career in industry after graduation with specific interests in pharmacology and regenerative medicine. On campus, I have conducted research as an Abrams Scholar in tissue engineering, serve as a Co-Head for Service Raleigh, and am actively involved with Summit College Ministry. I love cheering on the Wolfpack at sporting events, grabbing coffee with friends, exploring good food in Raleigh, and traveling both locally, like the beach, or overseas through study abroad. Alexia Cash
2022/2023 Engineering Ambassadors, 'Lexie Cash'

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Alexia Cash and I am a senior studying Biomedical Engineering here at State and UNC Chapelhill with a minor in Ethics. I am an EA meeting leader and member of the outreach team. I am also the president of the Vegan and Vegetarian club at NC State. At NC State and UNC I am a member of the honors college and have had the opportunity to study healthcare systems abroad in Scotland. I am currently working as a manufacturing engineering intern at Polyzen, a biomedical device company, in Apex, N.C. I am also currently working in Dr. Sano’s lab using electroporation to optimize genetic engineering using CRISPR-Cas 9. Outside of school I enjoy baking, hiking, traveling abroad, and reading any book I can get my hands on. I plan to pursue my masters degree in Biomedical Engineering next fall.

Molly Gallaher

Hello! My name is Molly Gallaher and I am a senior in biomedical engineering. On campus, I’m involved in Girls Engineering Change, the American Society of Biomechanics, and of course, the EA team. I’ve done two summer research internships at the UVA Center for Applied Biomechanics and hope to work in the injury biomechanics field upon graduation! I enjoy playing intramural soccer and basketball, reading, crocheting, and cheering on Wolfpack sports! Go Pack, Always!

Duke Lewis

My name is Duke Lewis, I am a second-year undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomolecular. I have three minors in Business Entrepreneurship, Philosophy, and Tissue Engineering. Along with serving as an EA, I am a member of the Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and the Association of Chemical Engineers (AiChE). This summer I completed an REU with the GCSP that involved growing equine cells in co-culture to study osteoarthritis. I also worked as the Co-Head night counselor for NCSU’s SEE camp. And when I take a break from the grind, I like to read, listen to music, and work on my digital art.

Emma Carpenter

Hello! My name is Emma Carpenter and I am a Chemical Engineering major in the Biomolecular concentration. Along with being an Engineering Ambassador, I am also the Treasurer for Club Beach Volleyball at NC State. I love to play volleyball and I also coach younger players. I am a member of the Engineers without Borders chapter at NC State and I have participated in a summer REU in NC State’s biotechnology program.

Erika Fetvedt

Hey y’all! I’m Erika Fetvedt, a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Nutrition Science. On campus, I’m involved in the marching band, the wind ensemble, the National Parks Club, and I’m an Engineering Ambassador. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, yoga, trying new foods, and making jewelry. Looking forward to an awesome year! Go pack!!

Hayden Ni

Hi Wolfpack! My name is Hayden Ni and I’m from Elon, NC. I am a second-year student here at NC State, majoring in Chemical Engineering. In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, I am also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) chapter on campus. Over the summer, I participated in undergraduate research at a Chemical Engineering lab here at NC State. In my free time, I enjoy attending NCSU sporting events, drinking coffee, reading books, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Hi everyone! My name is Hailey Jones and I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I am a senior majoring in Civil Engineering on the Structural Engineering track and minoring in Landscape Architecture and Business Administration. At NC State, I am a member of the hunt seat equestrian team, I have participated in the choral ensembles, and I work at the campus Wellness and Recreation center as a Fitness Assistant and Climbing Wall Specialist. During my free time, I weight lift, play music, and eat cookies 🙂 I am really excited for this year, Go Pack!

Sara Watkins

Hi! My name is Sara Watkins and I am a Senior majoring in Civil Engineering from Hickory, NC. Aside from being an Engineering Ambassador I’m active on campus with the National Society of Black Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and serve as an officer for Women in Transportation. I’m also pretty involved in Antioch Campus ministry and the Power Sound of the South Marching Band. If I have free time I enjoy running around campus or sitting down to paint.

Hello! My name is Summer Smith, and I am a sophomore studying civil engineering. In addition to serving as an Engineering Ambassador, I am a member of SWE, ASCE, and club soccer. I also enjoy playing intramurals. I have internship experience at NCDOT in the Roadside Environmental Unit, where I worked with erosion control. Hello everyone! My name is Cindy Sun, and I am a sophomore studying computer science. I am so excited to serve as an engineering ambassador this year. Besides being an engineering ambassador, I am also involved in several organizations on campus. I hold positions in the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers and Women in Computer Science, and I am a member of the Chinese Undergraduate Student Association, Girls Engineering Change, Society of Women Engineers, and XC & Track Club. In my free time, I like to thrift, read, and “attempt” to crochet (I am not the best).

Hi Wolfpack!! My name is Sonia Akkiangadi and I am a sophomore majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Cognitive Science. As an Engineering Ambassador, I primarily work within the outreach team! I’m also an executive officer for EKTAA, the South Asian Student Association, and Oak City Revolution, NC State’s Bollywood-Fusion Dance Competition. Hi everyone! My name is Angela Johns and I’m a junior studying Electrical Engineering. In addition to being an EA, I am also involved on campus with the University Honors Program, Society of Women Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and Club Gymnastics. Last year, I completed a two-semester undergraduate research fellowship with the ASSIST Center working with biosensors. This summer, I worked as an Electrical Product Engineering Intern at John Deere. For fun, I love board games and watching sports, especially football, basketball, and gymnastics. Go Pack!

Neil Sood

Hi everyone! My name is Neil Sood, and I’m from Rochester, NY. I’m a sophomore double majoring in Computer & Electrical Engineering and hope to work in renewable energy. In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, I am also a Grand Challenge Scholar focusing on making solar energy more economical. Savie Warren

Hello! My name is Savie Warren and I am a senior in electrical and computer engineering. At State, I am involved with Delight Ministries and the University Scholars Program. Over the summer, I spent three months in Austria doing an internship at Infineon Technologies working on PFCs using Silicon Carbide. On campus, I am a Goodnight Scholar and a member of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). I’m very passionate about anything space-related, and my dream goal is to become an astronaut! Devin Roberts

Around campus, I’m a Goodnight Scholar, a member of the Embedded Machine Learning Club, and a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. Last summer, I participated in an internship with International Paper in their power department. This fall, I’m conducting undergraduate research on power electronics and semiconductor devices. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym to stay active, learning new programming skills, and playing video games.

Alyssa Peterson

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Alyssa Peterson and I am a Sophomore in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Within the Engineering Ambassadors, I serve within the Outreach team. On top of being an Engineering Ambassador, I also participate in a few other on-campus activities. I am a part of the Society of Sales Engineers, the Celtic Wolves (Irish Dance team), and the crochet club. Additionally, I am in Alpha Phi Omega which is a co-ed fraternity that does service projects on campus and in the Raleigh area. Outside of school, I love to crochet, read, and go to concerts. I am so thankful to be a part of the Engineering Ambassador and help contribute back to the community and our wolfpack!

Anna Hallmark

Hey Pack! My name is Anna Hallmark, and I am a senior studying Industrial and Systems Engineering from Charlotte, NC. In addition to serving as an engineering ambassador, I am also involved in a handful of recreational clubs such as the National Parks Club and Horticulture club. Additionally, I am a member of the new Active Minds chapter, acting as our ISE mental health advisory board. On the professional development side, I am a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, and Alpha Pi Mu, the Industrial and Systems Engineering honor society. Outside of school and work, you would likely find me listening to music, hanging out & playing sports with friends, or finding a good hike.

Hannah Uglehus

Hi! My name is Hannah Uglehus and I am a Senior studying Industrial & Systems Engineering. On campus, I am a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering(IISE) and Engineers Without Borders(EWB). I am on EWB’s Sierra Leone Renewable Energy team and hope to travel with them soon. I also serve as the Treasurer of Alpha Pi Mu Honors Society, am a University Honors student, and play sand volleyball on the NC State Club Beach team. One of my highlights of being at NC State was studying abroad in Lund, Sweden. I enjoyed biking to class, enjoying fika throughout the day, and meeting students, who are now my friends, from all over the world. Additionally, I have completed an internship with Wastequip where I gained experience in the manufacturing environment. In my free time, I enjoy Wolfpack sporting events, working out, playing various sports, cooking, and spending time with friends. Go Pack! 🙂

On campus, I am involved with the Engineering Village, Engineers’ Council, and Cru. I also enjoy reading, running, and playing the piano when I am not in class. In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, I like to spend my time at NC State participating in multiple clubs and programs, including TEECA (Technology and Engineering Education Collegiate Association), Girls Engineering Change, and Chancellor’s Aides. I enjoy playing on recreational sports teams, painting, and woodworking as a source of relaxation. I also try to find as much time outdoors as possible, whether hiking at Umstead Park, walking on one of the many greenways around campus, or kayaking on Lake Raleigh.

Magdalen Lavelle

Hey Wolfpack, my name is Magdalen Lavelle! I am a senior here at NC State studying Industrial and Systems Engineering. Within the Engineering Ambassador team, I am an Engineering Open House Team Coordinator, an Engineering Ambassador Meeting Leader, and I serve as a teaching assistant for first-year engineering students. At NC State, I hold a position in my sorority, Sigma Kappa, on the Standards Council and I am a member of Alpha Pi Mu – the Industrial Engineering Honors Society, the Society of Sales Engineers, and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. Additionally, I play on an Intramural Basketball team, the Bricklayers (we’re 3x Champs)! Throughout college, I’ve participated in three summer internships at Averix Bio as an Engineering Intern, Apex Tool Group as a Supply Chain Intern, and at Corning Inc. as a Global Supply Chain Intern, where I’ll be extending my internship throughout the 2023-2024 Academic Year. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, volunteering at the animal shelter, and supporting our Wolfpack sports teams!

Sammi Eason

Hi Folks! My name is Sammi Eason and I am a senior from studying Industrial and Systems Engineering and minoring in theater. I have served as an Engineering Ambassador and Introductory Engineering Teaching Assistant for four years now and have loved every minute of it! Other activities I am involved in include: Alpha Pi Mu, Tau Beta Pi, the Co-op Program, WISE Village, University Theatre and the on-campus ministry Cru! Hello there! My name is Sammie Graff, and I am entering my fourth year studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Math. Outside of being an EA, I am involved as a Goodnight Scholar, a member of the FIRST (Robotics) Alumni Association, and a Chancellor’s Aide. I also am a member of two of NC State’s choirs and spent the summer 2022 semester studying abroad in South Korea. My name is Ava Thornton, and I am a second-year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student. Along with being an Engineering Ambassador, I am involved in the Helping Hands Project Club, the Society of Women Engineers, as well as the Planned Parenthood Generation Action NC State Chapter. Hi Wolfpack! My name is Caleb Jolley and I am a Senior from Apex, NC studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in business administration. In addition to serving as an Engineering Ambassador, I am involved in the Engineering Career Fair coordinating team, Co-op program, Technician Student Newspaper, CrossFit Club and Catholic Campus Ministries. Eduardo Sanchez

Hi everyone! My name is Eduardo Sanchez and I am a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to being an engineering ambassador, I am also a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the treasurer for the Mexican-American Student Association, and participate in intramural soccer. Kaia Spero

Hi everyone! My name is Kaia Spero, and I am a senior from Durham, NC studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Chinese. On campus I am an Engineering Ambassador, TA for E102 and E102, and an Engineering Career Fair coordinator. I have previously been involved with Theta Tau, the Engineering Village, University Scholars Program, and ASME. I have worked at ExxonMobil the last two summers, and have participated in the Women and Minority Summer Research Program. Madison Mitchell

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Madison Mitchell, I’m a senior in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Textiles Technology. I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC and love calling NC home. I currently serve as an Engineering Ambassador, teaching assistant, and undergraduate researcher at NC State. In previous summers, I have had internships, taken summer classes, and traveled. When I’m not studying, I love to take classes at the NC State Craft’s Center, snowboard, hike, sew, paint, and cheer on the Pack!

Shivani Karanth

Hey Wolfpack! My name is Shivani Karanth, and I am a junior studying Mechanical Engineering. In addition to being an EA, I am also involved in Girls Engineering Change, Helping Hands, the MoBL lab, and have conducted two REUs so far, and am continuing my research this year regarding soft actuators with Dr. Zhu for my third REU. I am also a part of Social Innovation Fellows, GCSP, and the University Honors Program. Last summer, I worked as a NCSU residential summer camp counselor, and this past summer, I completed a REU in the ECE department focusing on image characterization in object detection performance at Duke University. Outside of school, I love to explore Raleigh for new coffee locations, dance (Indian Classical Dance, Kathak), work out, read, and watch Criminal Minds.

Shrija Mishra

Hello, my name is Shrija Mishra and I am a junior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration! Outside of being an Engineering Ambassador, I am the President of the Society of Sales Engineers and involved with the Society of Women Engineers, Pi Tau Sigma (MechE Honor Society), Broadcast Meteorology Club and the University Honors Program. I have pursued a co-op at Delta Air Lines and I interned at Nissan last summer. Some of my hobbies include cooking, traveling, and attending NCSU football games!

Evan Xavier

Hey everyone! My name is Evan Xavier and I am a sophomore studying Nuclear Engineering and Mathematics. On campus I am a member of the American Nuclear Society chapter at NC State, research within the Plasma for Life Sciences lab headed by Dr. Katharina Stapelmann, and also the Women and Minorities in Engineering Program. I hope to continue with undergraduate research this school year and to enter the research field after graduate school! I am very interested in fusion and astrophysics and in my free time I enjoy gardening, video games, and reading.

Samantha Raleigh

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha Raleigh and I’m a sophomore studying nuclear engineering. I am so excited to be an engineering ambassador and an introductory engineering teaching assistant this year! In addition to being an engineering ambassador, I am involved on campus with Best Buddies, Women In Nuclear, and the American Nuclear society. Just this summer I was an advanced energy intern at TRC; Analyzing energy loads for Logan International Airport. Outside of school I really enjoy hiking, hot yoga, and going to concerts.
