This year, NC State honored nearly 40 faculty members during the 2022 Celebration of Faculty Excellence on May 4. This was the first time since 2019 that the event was held in person.

College honors four with Outstanding Senior Awards

Four seniors in the College of Engineering received 2022 Outstanding Senior Awards for their exceptional contributions to NC State and beyond in Citizenship and Service, Humanities, Leadership and Scholarly Achievement. Winners received their awards during a special ceremony held at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on NC State’s Centennial Campus on April 26.

NC State announces 2021-22 Goodnight Early Career Innovators

NC State announced its 2021-22 class of Goodnight Early Career Innovators today. This program recognizes and rewards promising NC State early-career faculty whose scholarship is in STEM or STEM education. The 25 faculty selected will receive $22,000 ­for each of the next three years to support their scholarship and research endeavors.

BAE graduate choreographs dance of thesis on streambank erosion

Layla El-Khoury enjoys solving problems. She also enjoys dancing. An engineering student in the M.S in biological and agricultural engineering program, and undergraduate alumna of the BAE department, she found a way to merge her interests into a choreographed dance piece of her graduate thesis on streambank erosion.
