CBE student selected as Astronaut Scholarship recipient

Michael Bowen, a senior studying chemical engineering and economics, has been selected as a 2019-20 Astronaut Scholar. He was presented the award on Wednesday, October 2, in Talley Student Union by Maj. Gen. Charles Frank Bolden Jr., a retired astronaut and former NASA Administrator.

NC State NanoWolves team brings home five awards in Biomolecular Design competition

The NanoWolves, a team of six NC State students, won five prizes at BIOMOD, an international biomolecular design competition held at University of California San Francisco. 

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University bestowed the Distinguished Engineering Alumnus award on Suzanne Gordon, Peter Lehrer, Gil West, and Alan Weinberg.

Engineering Alumna Receives Watauga Medal

Engineering alumna Gayle Lanier was one of four individuals to receive the Watauga Medal, NC State University’s highest nonacademic honor, during the annual Founders’ Day celebration held Friday evening, March 3, at Talley Student Union. 

Mabry receives the Best Video Overall award in the Engineering for You 3 video contest from the National Academy of Engineering.
