Sloan fellowship awarded to biomedical engineer Anne Marion Taylor

Anne Marion Taylor is among 126 scientists and scholars in the United States and Canada to receive 2013 Sloan Research Fellowships from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Taylor is an assistant professor in the joint biomedical engineering department at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Angel, chairman, president and chief executive officer at Praxair, Inc.; Jimmy D. Clark, owner and president of Guy M. Turner, Inc.; and Dr. John A. Edmond, director of advanced optoelectronics at Cree, Inc.

Fanxing Li receives NSF CAREER Award

Dr. Fanxing Li, an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University, has received a Faculty Early Career Development Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The award, known as the NSF CAREER Award, is one of the highest honors given by NSF to young faculty in science and engineering.

NC State engineering students beat national average on FE Exam

North Carolina State University engineering students who took the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in October 2012 passed it at a much greater rate than the national average.
