Fast cars and yoga, on the surface at least, represent two different lifestyles — but Liv Adams '16 has struck a unique balance between these two worlds. A certified yoga instructor, Adams recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to begin her engineering career at Tesla, Inc.

Dr. Kim G. Roberts is the new director of recruiting, enrollment management and educational partnerships in the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University. The position is based in the College’s Office of Academic Affairs.

Narayan, Turinsky elected to National Academy of Engineering

Drs. Jay Narayan and Paul Turinsky will be formally inducted during a ceremony at the NAE’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 8. Their election will bring the number of NAE members in the College to 17.

Engineering Alumna Receives Watauga Medal

Engineering alumna Gayle Lanier was one of four individuals to receive the Watauga Medal, NC State University’s highest nonacademic honor, during the annual Founders’ Day celebration held Friday evening, March 3, at Talley Student Union.
