NC State College of Engineering annual open house scheduled for March 21

RALEIGH – North Carolina State University’s College of Engineering will hold its annual open house Saturday, March 21, featuring information sessions and tours of facilities on Centennial and main campuses.

The open house, which lasts from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will include continuous bus service between the two campuses until the event ends. The event is open to prospective students of all ages and their families. No registration is required.

Information sessions on degree tracks, clubs and programs will be available. Additionally each engineering department will offer demos and open labs with faculty, staff, and current students on hand to provide information and answer questions. Outdoor exhibits featuring Wolfpack Motorsports Baja and Formula One cars, aerial robotics and an electric car are also scheduled.

Parking on Centennial Campus in the Partners Way or Centennial Campus Parking Decks will be available. Dining options will be made available at On the Oval, Port City Java and The Creamery.

When arriving at the event, Engineering Ambassadors dressed in red polo shirts and black fleece jackets will be handing out brochures that contain a map and can direct participants to department information sessions and exhibits.

Among the largest engineering colleges in the nation, NC State Engineering is home to more than 9,100 students and offers 18 bachelor’s, 21 master’s and 13 doctoral degree programs in nine academic departments and three engineering programs in other departments. The College also offers 15 graduate degree programs online.
