Six projects secured support from the Chancellor’s Innovation Fund this year, and for the first time in the fund’s history, awardees will receive supplemental resources through local entrepreneur and investor Bill Spruill’s 2ndF Research Commercialization Fund.

Researchers in the UNC School of Medicine’s Department of Microbiology and Immunology and the UNC-NC State Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering have developed a new strategy to improve drug delivery into chronic wound infections.

Six COE students win 2022-23 Graduate Programs Awards

Six outstanding NC State engineering graduate students were recognized for their academic achievements, research, leadership and service through the 2022-23 College of Engineering (COE) Graduate Programs Awards.

College honors outstanding seniors for 2023

Seniors are nominated by their respective academic departments in the College of Engineering, and winners are chosen by a selection committee made up of faculty and staff members in the College. Departmental nominees were honored during a ceremony held at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on NC State’s Centennial Campus where the four COE winners were also announced.

COE student and two alumni named to Andrews Launch Accelerator 2023 cohort

The NC State Acceleration Fund, operated by the Entrepreneurship Clinic, is the product of a $1,000,000 donation from Lyn and Chip Andrews. The purpose of the Accelerator is to give NC State founders the opportunity to jumpstart their entrepreneurial journey. Founders are provided with the funding, resources and guidance to grow their company.

Michaela Copp graduates with nonprofit experience and a Ph.D. from both NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill

Michaela Copp, who is a soon-to-be biomedical engineering graduate with a Ph.D. from NC State University and the University of North Carolina at  Chapel Hill, knew back during her undergraduate years at Vanderbilt University that she wanted to continue doing research.
