New Libyan leader is NC State electrical engineering alumnus

The new prime minister of Libya is an alumnus of the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University.

Dr. Abdurrahim el-Keib received his PhD in electrical engineering from NC State in 1984. He was picked to lead Libya’s government on Monday by the country’s National Transitional Council.

He takes over following Libyan rebels’ defeat of the regime led by Moammar Gadhafi.
