College staff member competes in senior state tennis championships

Rosette Tavolacci, assistant director of research administration in the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University, will compete with her team in the 2011 North Carolina United States Tennis Association (USTA) League Senior State Championships June 2-5.

Tavolacci is a member of a 3.5 Women’s USTA Capital Area Doubles Senior league. Her team recently participated in local division playoffs and won all three matches, which earned it an invitation to the state championships.

Tavolacci offered praise for her team’s captain, who is an employee at NC State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, for her leadership and support.

“This is very exciting and special to me,” Tavolacci said. “We were very fortunate this season to have won all of our league matches.”
