College honors outstanding seniors

Five North Carolina State University engineering students received Outstanding Senior Awards at the 2010 Engineers’ Council Annual Awards Banquet on May 3.

The awards are presented each year to outstanding seniors who are nominated by their academic departments.

The 2010 winners, with category and nominating department:

Leadership — Stephane Henrion, Electrical and Computer Engineering

Citizenship and Service — Tyrone Keys, Industrial and Systems Engineering< /p>

Scholarly Achievement — Brittany Boudreaux, Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering and Raleigh Davis, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Humanities — Nathaniel MacHardy, Biomedical Engineering

The banquet also featured the induction of the officers of the next Engineers’ Council, the representative assembly for the engineering undergraduate student body at NC State.

The 2010-11 officers:

President — Trey Warren

Vice President — Jennifer Gowen

Secretary — Kalie Porterfield

Treasurer — Rachel Hudson
