Engineering Career Fair a hit with job seekers, employers

More than than 3,300 job seekers attended the Oct. 6 Engineering Career Fair at North Carolina State University, setting a one-day attendance record for the event.

The biannual Career Fair brings thousands of bright engineering students together with scores of top employers looking to make connections and fill jobs and internships. The most recent event drew 3,385 job seekers and 186 employers to the McKimmon Center on the NC State campus. Many of the job seekers were visitors from other schools.

Since its inception in 1998, the Career Fair has grown into one of the nation’s largest career fairs for engineering students. It is hosted by the College of Engineering and the Engineers’ Council.

The next Career Fair will be held Feb. 3, 2010, also at the McKimmon Center.
