STEM Education Resources

Student works in the lab of Dr. Michael Dickey.

NC State has a wealth of expertise and experience in STEM education. Across multiple colleges, our faculty members develop and use innovative approaches in the classroom. Richard Felder, Hoechst Celanese Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering, has been one of the most prolific in this group, and his resources are accessed hundreds of thousands of times per year. Dr. Felder and his colleague and frequent collaborator Rebecca Brent have worked with Lisa Bullard and Matthew Cooper in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Jo-Ann Cohen in the College of Sciences to ensure that this website continues and evolves over time and involves campus teaching leaders from other STEM disciplines.

Our goal is to provide a curated site that integrates selected resources across disciplines. The site will be a living archive that provides a central repository of useful resources, not just for NC State faculty but for STEM educators worldwide at both the K-12 and college levels. As the site’s content develops, it will feature a top-10 list of articles for both new and seasoned educators, new research findings and calendar-driven/topical highlights, with the curators of the site keeping the content fresh for users.
