What is the Women in Engineering Program about?

Our vision is to foster an environment for female students in the College of Engineering that encourages, supports and challenges them to ever higher levels of success.

We encourage young women to consider careers in engineering, mathematics and science disciplines, and in turn, increase the number of women enrolling in the College of Engineering at NC State. We also want to augment the number of women graduating from the College of Engineering and continuing into graduate school or industry.

We are sponsored by the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and we coordinate, educate and sponsor a variety of programs for women.

To achieve our goals, we offer a peer mentoring program, a professional mentoring program (Mentornet) and social and informative events.
