Yuan honored with RJ Reynolds Award

Fuh-Gwo Yuan, Samuel P. Langley Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University, received the 2023 R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension.

Spontak receives 2022 RJ Reynolds Award

Richard J. Spontak, Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) at North Carolina State University, received the 2022 R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension. At an award ceremony held in the Talley Student Center on NC State’s campus, he delivered a lecture titled “Water-Activated Materials to Mitigate Growing Global Challenges.”

Michael Dickey, Camille and Henry Dreyfus Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NC State, will present the 37th R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award Lecture. Dickey's lecture is titled "Beyond the Terminator: Liquid Metals, Stretchable Electronics and Shape-Changing Materials."

Sitar receives 2012 RJ Reynolds Award

Dr. Zlatko Sitar, Kobe Steel Distinguished Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and director of the Materials Research Center at North Carolina State University, has been selected as the 28th recipient of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension. Sitar delivered his lecture Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Larry K. Monteith Engineering Research Center on NC State’s Centennial Campus. His lecture was entitled “Creation of a new technology: From atoms to devices.”
