Esports Lab opens in Hunt Library

The lab will support the NC State Esports program, but it is also open to other students, faculty and staff interested in gaming.

NC State begins construction of new art plaza on Centennial Campus 

Centennial Campus is now officially home to Reds and Whites, a public art display by world-renowned artist Larry Bell. The piece, commissioned by the Centennial Campus Public Art Committee, was recently installed at the bottom of The Oval, adjacent to Hunt Library. Esports for the Pack

In 2021 and 2022, NC State received $12 million from the North Carolina General Assembly to build an on-campus esports arena and $4 million to develop a mobile arena truck that brings esports competitions and activities to other parts of the state.

Howling robots: One student’s path from the classroom to the theme park

With the help of enrichment and undergraduate research grants, Michelle Phillips and Kevin Young worked with students from other disciplines for the last nine months to build a 4-foot, 120-pound interactive statue that was recently unveiled on the second floor of the Hunt Library on NC State’s campus.
