2021 chancellor’s fall address

Randy Woodson delivers the annual fall address during Red and White week in 2019 in the Talley Student Union.

Chancellor Randy Woodson gave his annual fall address to the NC State community on Monday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. For the first time since 2019, the speech was delivered live and in person from the floor of Talley Student Union. It was also streamed online via YouTube.

In this year’s address, the chancellor began by acknowledging the ongoing, campuswide efforts that make events like this possible. His remarks highlighted the success of individual students, staff and faculty members in the past 12 months; touched upon some exciting announcements for NC State’s future; and reflected upon the university’s enduring purpose.

The fall address also marked the beginning of this year’s Red and White Week, our annual homecoming celebration of all things NC State.
