Rabiei guides COE research as College Research Committee chair

Dr. Afsaneh Rabiei, professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NC State, has long distinguished herself as an effective research professor in her field. Now, as chair of the College Research Committee, Rabiei helps guide research efforts for the entire College of Engineering, with an emphasis on mid-career faculty research and cross-departmental collaboration.

CBE student third sibling to graduate with chemical engineering degree

When Matthew Burroughs graduated from NC State earlier this month, he became the third sibling in his family to graduate from NC State’s Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE), the third to receive the department’s Senior Award for Scholarly Achievement, and the third to start a Ph.D. program in chemical engineering.

Bullard named ASEE Fellow

Dr. Lisa Bullard, Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University, has been named to the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Academy of Fellows. She will be honored at the ASEE Annual Conference on June 19 in Tampa, Fla.

NC State faculty member named as 2019-20 RTI University Scholar

Dr. Roger Narayan, a professor in the UNC/NC State Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been selected as an RTI International University Scholar for the 2019-20 academic year. Narayan was one of only four scholars chosen this academic year.
