The Engineering Foundation is delighted to announce the creation of the NC State Engineering Young Alumni Advisory Board. After an overwhelming response to a call for applications, a group of 18 young professionals representing various engineering disciplines from NC State classes of 2003 and later, joined together for their first advisory board meeting.

Tasked with engaging young alumni with the College of Engineering, the newly appointed board quickly began work by establishing the first annual young alumni and new graduate celebration hosted at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course clubhouse on May 22. A total of 75 young alumni gathered over appetizers and drinks to hear a panel of six expert engineering graduates talk about the different career paths they took, highlighting the multitude of options available to someone with an engineering degree from NC State. Check out the post on the College of Engineering’s Instagram account to see pictures from the event, and give us a follow while you’re there!

If you didn’t get a chance to attend the networking event in May, be sure to join the Young Alumni Advisory Board at a special event for young alumni during the College’s annual Homecoming kick-off on November 2. To guarantee you don’t miss out on these exciting opportunities, be sure to update your information via this short Google form.
