College of Engineering moves up in US News Graduate Rankings

The College of Engineering at NC State University has moved up to 24th in the latest US News & World Report rankings of graduate programs released today. This is the highest the College has ranked in the last 15 years.  Among public colleges of engineering, the College is ranked 12th in the nation.

The US News rankings of graduate programs are released each March with updated rankings of both colleges and departments. The rankings are one benchmark of success in academia.

In addition to the College’s higher ranking, several disciplines also improved, including aerospace engineering, biological and agricultural engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, and nuclear engineering.  The College has two programs in the top 10:  biological and agricultural engineering and nuclear engineering. Four programs are in the top 20:  industrial engineering, materials science and engineering and the two top 10 programs.
