Thousands expected at NC State Engineering Career Fair Oct. 2-3

What: The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University holds its biannual Career Fair, one of the largest career fairs in the nation for engineering students. Media coverage is invited.

Who: The Engineering Career Fair brings thousands of engineering students and other job seekers together with top employers looking to fill jobs and internships. More than 290 companies and government agencies are scheduled to attend. Previous Engineering Career Fairs have drawn job seekers from colleges and universities across the country. The Fall 2011 fair drew 5,060 job seekers, a record for the event.

When: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Where: The Jane S. McKimmon Center at 1101 Gorman Street on the NC State campus in Raleigh. Parking is available at the McKimmon Center, and shuttle buses connecting the fair to the Dunn Avenue entrance of Reynolds Coliseum and the Partners Way bus stop on Centennial Campus will run from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cost: The event is free for job seekers.
