College receives Exxon Mobil grants

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University has received $30,000 in grants from Exxon Mobil Corp.

The grants were awarded to the departments of industrial and systems engineering, chemical and biomolecular engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, electrical and computer engineering and civil, construction and environmental engineering, as well as to the office of Minority Engineering Programs. The grants are unrestricted and can be used for any educational purpose.

ExxonMobil is the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas company and employs more than 80,000 people worldwide.

NC State was one of 87 colleges and universities throughout the country to receive grants from the company. ExxonMobil awards grants to schools that offer degrees in subjects from which it recruits employees.
