About Us

This program affords local students an opportunity to earn an engineering degree from a nationally recognized university on the campus of Craven Community College in Havelock, NC.

Group discuss project with faculty member.

In addition to the benefits of a small campus, small class size and close interaction with local faculty and staff, students are able to benefit from the cost savings of taking their general education curriculum at the community college and having lower student fees for NC State Engineering Online courses.

Our faculty and staff are entirely dedicated to teaching and preparing students to be successful professional engineers.

Facilities

On the Craven Community College campus, the MES B.S.E. Program has dedicated classrooms for courses, labs and student work. The MES laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for students to explore all aspects of mechanical engineering, including digital design tools such as 3D scanning and printing. Students use this equipment in lab courses but are also encouraged to design and carry out their own experiments and can access the equipment outside of class if desired.
