Information Sessions And Guided Tours
The best way to find out if the College of Engineering at NC State is right for you is to register to attend our information sessions that we offer to prospective students and their families. The information sessions consist of a brief overview of the College of Engineering followed by time to tour Centennial Campus. University Admissions sessions are also available for both first-year and transfer students. When possible, we recommend signing up for one of our Engineering sessions and a University Admissions session.

Opportunities To Connect with Engineering Departments
Biological and Agricultural Engineering
Are you interested in learning more about Biological Engineering? Please visit BAE Undergraduate Programs and be sure to watch this video “What is Biological Engineering?” about our degree programs. If you have questions or would like to set up a personalized visit to the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering to meet with our Student Ambassadors, please email heather_austin@ncsu.edu. Biomedical Engineering

Civil, Construction, & Environmental Engineering
Are you interested in learning more about the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering? Join us for a twice monthly in person tour of Fitts-Woolard Hall led by one of our CCEE student ambassadors! Tours will begin at 4:00 PM. Please register here. Interested in an ‘in-person’ tour of Computer Science? CS Student Ambassadors will be available to conduct ‘in person’ tours for prospective students and their parents/guardians on Fridays during the academic year, immediately prior to the College of Engineering’s Info Sessions on Centennial Campus. These tours will begin at 12:00PM, starting in the CS atrium of Engineering Building 2 (EB2). If you plan to attend, please let Mrs. Tammy Coates know via email (tscoates@ncsu.edu).

Forest Biomaterials – Paper Science & Engineering
Help shape the future of sustainable manufacturing. With most plastics still ending up in landfills, Paper Science and Engineering focuses on creating bio-based materials that can be recycled or composted. Students gain hands-on experience through internships, co-ops, research, and study abroad opportunities, preparing them to tackle real-world challenges.

Textile Engineering
Textile Engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering that helps make the world a better place through the use of fibers and fabrics. The field encompasses any area where those materials come in to play, including some of the most technical materials in the world such as: biomedical and health products, advanced fiber reinforced composites, sustainability solutions, filtration, smart and electronic garments, personal protection for the world’s most dangerous threats to human health and safety, next generation high performance athletic apparel and much more. Joint Engineering – Mechatronics at UNC Asheville
The Joint NCSU/UNCA Engineering Programs are entirely located at UNC Asheville. All our tours on conducted on UNC Asheville’s campus. The BS in E – Mechatronics Concentration is a full NCSU engineering degree. Our tours are at UNC Asheville on Mondays and Fridays at 1pm. Prospective students can sign up here.
