Engineering a Better Tomorrow

Scholarships for Current Students

The College of Engineering recognizes academic achievement and awards scholarships to continuing students to encourage their ongoing success. It offers scholarships within each of its departments to students who have completed, or are in the process of completing, matriculation and are working toward a specific degree. Scholarships are based on academic record, financial need or a combination of both.

Eligibility

Continuing students (sophomores, juniors and seniors) are encouraged to complete the online scholarship eligibility form using the link below. Once they submit the form, the information is retained as long as they are enrolled. They should return to the form periodically to update information that has changed.

Ben Franklin Scholars

Each year the College of Engineering invites a limited number of outstanding freshmen to participate in the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program. The program allows engineering and computer science students to complement their technical education with an in-depth study of humanities or socials sciences. Students who complete this program earn two undergraduate degrees in five years — B.S. in computer science or engineering and a B.S. or B.A. in an area of the humanities and social sciences.

Many of these scholars choose to earn a degree in multidisciplinary studies (MDS), allowing them to pursue studies such as science, technology and society; international aspects of technology; and communication and human relations. The Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program offers some scholarships to participants.
