Autonomous Robotics Workshop

Students participating in this workshop will build a robotic car that can automatically track a line, follow a light, or hide in the dark like a cockroach. The "autonomous" part of this program means that the car will operate without input from the student.  Each student will create the programming it uses to make decisions!  Students will learn basic programming, electronics, how to use a microcontroller, and circuit construction techniques.  The completed vehicle will work without any of our special equipment.  Prizes will be awarded at the final competition AND students take home their projects and tools to amaze family and friends!  This program is offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

June 13 - 18; June 20 - 25; June 27 - July 2, 2010
