Engineering Building I

Engineering Building I - The First Step
40 years. 14,610 days. 350,640 hours. 21,038,400 minutes. That's how long it had been since a new building had been built for the College of Engineering. With the construction of Engineering Building I, that counter has been reset.

On October 25th, 2002, the College of Engineering at NC State University broke ground on the future home of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Engineering Building I and the 157,000 sq. ft. it encompasses, will bring together faculty and students who were previously scattered across NC State's main campus into one building where, together, they can drive forward in their research and learning.
