The College of Engineering congratulates its 2008 Awards for Excellence winners: Annette Maynard of the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering; Joe Sutton of the Industrial Extension Service; and Dr. Russ O’Dell of the NC State Engineering Foundation.
Maynard, Sutton and O’Dell will receive $250 and eight hours of paid leave and represent the College at the University Awards for Excellence Luncheon on May 19. They are also eligible to receive an additional $250 and eight hours of paid leave awarded to all University-wide award winners.
The Awards for Excellence honor the accomplishments and achievements of permanent NC State employees who do not hold faculty rank. Every year, 47 employees are selected as award winners for their respective unit or college, with the five University-wide winners announced at the awards luncheon.
The 2008 awards luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, May 19. Tickets, which are on sale now and must be purchased in advance, are $10 per person and payable only by check made out to NCSU.
