For a third year in a row, North Carolina State University has partnered with Centennial Campus Middle School (CCMS) to create a job shadow day for 8th grade students. On November 5 students from Centennial Campus Middle School spent the day with their NC State hosts, going to meetings, classes and labs.
The College of Engineering hosted seven CCMS students. The hosts were Lisa Bullard, coordinator of advising in chemical engineering; Catherine Carver, student services advisor in mechanical and aerospace engineering; and Dr. Ghassan Chehab, a post-doctoral research associate in civil, construction, and environmental engineering. Each host shared a normal business day with two or three CCMS students. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State also provided hosts.
