Recognition for Wolfpack pride — traditionally linked with students and sports fans — is now available to College of Engineering at North Carolina State University employees.
The College has joined the Pride of the Wolfpack Award Program. Sponsored by university retirement program TIAA-CREF, the award is given to NC State employees to recognize their contributions of leadership, university community service and exceptional service to the college or unit.
The College of Engineering has been allotted 36 awards to be given during 2003. Members of the selection committee are Thelia B. Burrell, administrative assistant in the Department of Nuclear Engineering; Margaret G. O’Brien, director of the standards and advanced performance group in the Industrial Extension Service of the College of Engineering; Dr. Steven W. Peretti, associate professor of chemical engineering; and William G. Scott, director of technology for the College of Engineering. Gwendolyn H. Bell, administrative assistant in the NC State Engineering Foundation, is the College of Engineering coordinator for the program.
Nominations are due by the 21st of each month and may be submitted electronically to Gwen Bell at http://www.engr.ncsu.edu/admin/pwa.html.
