Edie Nowell, Dr. Hatice Ozturk, Toni Pascucci, John Royal, Lara Shields,
Anita Smith, Andrew Stein and Chad Stinner.
Debbie Allgood-Staton, the administrative manager of the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, goes out of her way to help and is always warm and kind to everyone.
As a research specialist for the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, David Black goes well above and beyond the call of duty in maintaining and improving laboratory operations and makes himself available to everyone at all hours to solve problems.
Brian Carty, the technology support analyst for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, runs a smooth operation keeping the department's many computers up and running. He finds fast and effective solutions to often complicated problems and goes beyond just getting the job done to also help students and professors with their unique requests.
As a system administrator for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Micah Colon has been an invaluable help in setting up large-scale and cumbersome software packages quickly and efficiently, all the while handling his normal responsibilities.
As a communications specialist, Kimberly Conley keeps the far-flung staff of the state-wide Industrial Extension Service connected and in good spirits with her efforts in the newsletter, and she has taken the lead with staff communications and professional development teams with great results.
Saida Fatmi, systems administrator for business operations in the Industrial Extension Service, has continually surpassed expectations, is open and friendly in even the most stressful situations, and has put a great deal of additional effort into projects that directly help the College of Engineering.
Christine Franek, assistant finance officer in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, uses her knowledge, ability and attention to detail to anticipate problems, spot errors and create lasting solutions.
Dan Green, the director of IT for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, puts in the long hours and hard work to keep the department running smoothly without his own support staff.
Julia Greenwald, senior ergonomist in the Ergonomic Center of the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, goes well beyond her already heavy extension and client workload to tackle programming projects that are a great help to the department.
Rachel Limberg, administrative assistant in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, embodies team work and supports the department with enthusiasm, volunteering to help others, taking leadership roles with great success and creating a positive atmosphere for everyone.
Edie Nowell, the new university administrative manager in the Department of Materials Science, has shown her great leadership, dedication, quality of work and extensive knowledge in implementing difficult changes and making great improvements to the department and college.
Dr. Hatice Ozturk, teaching associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, developed a sustainable assessment plan for ABET accreditation visits that serves as a national example of excellence.
Toni Pascucci, student services assistant for the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, has contributed to the career development of students and the recruiting success of employees with her great initiative, professionalism, efficiency and thoughtfulness.
As the engineering research specialist for building construction and management, John Royal handles the problems and ensures the progress of all College of Engineering buildings, managing millions of dollars and thousands of details with a cool head and a warm smile.
Lara Shields, the pre-award research specialist for the Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering department, has implemented new procedures and created new resources that provide great assistance to faculty. On top of existing responsibilities, she is an active member of the university research group and represents the department campus-wide.
Anita Smith, personnel technician for the College of Engineering, exemplifies the meaning of teamwork and takes the time to help acclimate new employees and make them feel welcome.
Andrew Stein, web developer and programmer for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is known for his excellent web programming support and the speed and helpfulness of his responses and solutions.
Chad Stinner, business and technology application technician for the Industrial Extension Service, tackles new and complicated projects with enthusiasm and remarkable knowledge, researching every angle, anticipating potential problems and improving every aspect.
These eighteen individuals have all shown the outstanding qualities that make them the Pride of the Wolfpack, and the College of Engineering congratulates and thanks them.
