Computer Science Seniors to Exhibit Projects at Posters & Pies, April 27

Seniors in the Senior Design Project class at NC State’s Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering will present their capstone projects at Posters & Pies on Tuesday, April 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Student teams will give formal presentations of their project results, followed by poster sessions and project demonstrations. A light lunch and pie reception will conclude the program. The event will be held at the Talley Student Center, Ballroom and Stewart Theatre, on NC State University’s North Campus.

This semester's projects include the following, sponsored by

• Tavve Software: a voice-activated alarm clock
• NC Zoological Society: the “Save the Wolves!” project
• SCORE-O-MATIC: a grassroots sports reporting system
• Network Appliance: the Tablet PC

More than 500 students and 70 companies have collaborated on software design projects since the Senior Design Center (SDC) began coordinating the capstone computer science Senior Design Project class 10 years ago.
