Progress Energy Hosts Reception for NC State Scholars

Progress Energy scholars attended a reception with Mr. Buddy Cline, vice president of Distribution Engineering and Operations for Progress Energy, on April 23.

Progress Energy scholarship recipients from NC State University attended a reception held in their honor April 23 in Page Hall on the NC State campus. The reception was organized by the NC State Engineering Foundation Inc. and sponsored by Progress Energy. Students had the opportunity to talk with representatives of Progress Energy, including Buddy Cline, vice president of Distribution Engineering and Operations; Randy Mizelle, manager of human resources, energy delivery; Susan Sliwa, senior human resources support assistant; and Merrilee Jacobson, contributions specialist. Student representative James L. Farlow, a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering, expressed thanks to Progress Energy on behalf of the student scholarship recipients.
