Mr. D. Greg Mumford, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Nortel Networks, will visit North Carolina State University on Thursday, March 27, 2003, to deliver a talk entitled “Network Transformation: Unleashing the Power of Multimedia Services,” which will address the future of global communications. The talk will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Room 136 of the Engineering Graduate Research Center (EGRC) on NC State’s Centennial Campus and is sponsored by the Center for Advanced Computing and Communication (CACC).
CACC is an industry/university cooperative center involving NC State University, Duke University and Nortel Networks in research relating to advanced computer and communication systems.
Mumford has held leadership positions at Nortel Networks for 30 years. His expertise includes a wide range of technological innovations, including digital switching, optical networking and fiber optics. As CTO he focuses on strategy and innovation for Nortel Networks.
