NASA Scientists to Visit NC State

A briefing on the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) by Dr. Charles Harris, program director of the NIA Initiative at Langley Research Center, and Dr. Bob Whitehead, interim president of NIA, will take place Monday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Engineering Graduate Research Center (EGRC) on Centennial Campus at NC State University.

NC State is part of a consortium of six universities that will receive funding from NASA to create NIA, a new, world-class aerospace research institute. The initiative was announced by NC State and NASA in September, 2002. The briefing will describe NIA and NC State’s participation in the consortium program.
