Nuclear Engineering Launches Executive Lecture Series

The Department of Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University announces its new Executive Lecture Series. Each spring semester a senior executive from the nuclear power industry will be invited to present a lecture on a topic related to business considerations. Executives from both industry and government will be invited to participate.

The inaugural lecture of the series was presented Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at 3:30 p.m. in the new Progress Energy Lecture Hall in Burlington Nuclear Engineering Laboratories on the north campus of NC State. William S. “Skip” Orser, Group President – Energy Supply for Progress Energy, delivered a talk entitled “Rediscovering Nuclear Power.”
