The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University is pleased to
invite the public to the Engineering Open House on Saturday, March 29, 2003,
from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Media attendance is welcome.
All Engineering departments will participate with information, materials and
demonstrations. The planned activities include:
- Materials Science & Engineering demonstration of electron microscopes,
mechanical testing of materials and atmospheric plasma deposition, 232 Riddick
Hall and Burlington Courtyard
- Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering demonstration of Wolfpack Motorsports,
3211 Broughton Hall
- Civil Engineering demonstrations of computerized traffic-flow simulations,
concrete-canoe racing and construction of steel bridges, portico of Mann
Hall
- Electrical & Computer Engineering demonstrations of senior design
projects, optical breadboards and medical instrumentation, 214 Daniels Hall.
- Industrial Engineering demonstration of rapid prototyping and manufacturing,
computer numerical control machining, other activities, Park Shops.
