The College of Engineering Innovators’ Forum at North Carolina State University will be held Monday, December 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Room 136 in the Monteith Engineering Research Center on NC State’s Centennial Campus.
The purpose of the Innovators’ Forum is “to encourage growth and success of technology-based entrepreneurial ventures in North Carolina.” The December 4 forum will open with a presentation from Dr. James J. Zuiches, vice chancellor for extension, engagement and economic development, about the university’s effort to obtain a Kauffman Foundation grant that is designed to support initiatives in entrepreneurship and education.
The program will also feature student projects from NC State’s Engineering Entrepreneurs’ Program:
Company #1: Race KITS
Speakers: Rob Taylor, CEO, and Eric Larsen, CTO
Abstract: Race KITS (Race Kart Information Technology Systems) is developing an innovative tracking technology using RFID. Their system provides real-time data to their race management system providing vital statistics to the race team.
Company #2: Digital Learning Solutions
Speakers: Jonathan Lee, President, and Rayfield Oglesby, VP Sales and Marketing
Abstract: Digital Learning Solutions is developing the next-generation of learning aids and methods. Their debut product, Total Recall, is built off their ground-breaking Confidence Code technology for monitoring personal confidence levels with any new material, allowing anyone, anywhere, to become fluent in any subject in record time.
