The NC Solar Center recently celebrated green building achievements that highlight the part North Carolina State University is playing in transforming the residential building market and reducing its environmental footprint.
The center's High Performance Building team was part of a group that worked on the Landing at Southpoint, a Durham, NC, condominium project with many "green" features that was given a LEED Silver rating by the US Green Building Council. The team also finished work on updated documents that provide more incentives to homeowners considering the installation of renewable energy such as solar and wind electricity generation systems.
More on the announcement from the NC HealthyBuilt Homes Program.
