The Office of Information Technology and Engineering Computer Services (ITECS) for the College of Engineering at NC State University will sponsor a second Student-Owned Computer Faculty Forum on Wednesday, November 20, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in Withers Hall, Room 214. Entitled “Forum II: Active Learning with Technology,” the forum will be led by Dr. Rebecca Brent, co-director of the faculty development program of the National Science Foundation’s Southeastern University and College Coalition for Engineering Education (SUCCEED) and adjunct professor of education at East Carolina University, and Dr. Richard M. Felder, Hoechst Celanese Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering at NC State.
During the forum, leaders will demonstrate the positive influence of active learning on student performance and effective applications of technology for this process.
