NC State University researchers are conducting an online survey about privacy values. The survey is supported by a National Science Foundation Information Technology Research grant. According to Dr. Annie L. Anton, assistant professor of computer science and team leader for the project, “This survey will help us establish an Internet privacy values baseline for correlation with our privacy goal taxonomy to aid policy makers as well as software developers. Our objective is to correlate factors related to people’s beliefs about privacy.”
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete. The public is encouraged to participate. The results will be made available this summer on the project website: http://theprivacyplace.org .
