Susan Grant, director of University Housing-AVC Operations at NC State University, recently accepted the Outstanding Collaboration/Partnership Award from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services-South on behalf of NC State’s WISE Village, a program made possible by the collaboration of NC State’s University Housing and the colleges of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Agricultural and Life Sciences, Natural Resources and Textiles.
Established in 2003, the WISE Village gives first- and second-year women majoring in mathematics, statistics, science or engineering at NC State an opportunity to live and study with others who share common interests.
Katherine C. Titus-Becker, director of Women in Science and Engineering at NC State, said, “Congratulations to the WISE Operating Council, University Housing, and the five colleges for this exceptional program. It is a privilege to be the new director of this outstanding and collaborative program.”
