The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University has created a summer camp for elementary school students and added a second camp for middle school students to the list of engineering camps offered during the summer.

The new elementary school program is a week-long day camp for rising third through fifth graders led by elementary school teachers in partnership with engineering faculty from NC State. Students will experience engineering through hands-on, creative investigations and building activities.

The two middle school programs are available for rising sixth through ninth graders. The week-long day camps are led by middle school teachers working with engineering faculty members. The camps will focus on solving mysteries using engineering and applications-based investigations.

Rising junior and senior high school students may choose from a variety of programs that offer hands-on laboratory experiments, lectures and field trips. Participants stay in residence halls and participate in group social activities during the evening.
