Dr. William L. Roberts, associate professor of aerospace engineering at North Carolina State University, has been appointed associate head of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, effective July 1. Roberts, who joined the faculty of the College of Engineering in 1994, received a National Science Foundation Career award in 1997.
