Tradeshow to Feature Green Commercial Builders

The NC Triangle Chapter of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the North Carolina Solar Center are holding the third annual GreenNC, a commercial green building tradeshow, at the McKimmon Center at NC State University from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on September 6. For two years this annual event has been leading the way for the expansion of green commercial building in the Southeast. In attendance will be up to 60 vendors from a wide range of enterprises involved in green commercial building in North Carolina. The tradeshow is free and open to the public, and the media is invited to attend.

Sandy Wiggins, chair of the Board of Directors for the national USGBC, is the keynote speaker at the tradeshow luncheon and is expected to draw 500 professionals, civic and business leaders. The luncheon (noon to 2 p.m.) is open to the public with a small registration fee (www.greennctradeshow.com).

Running concurrently with the tradeshow is a Daylighting Symposium, which will focus on the use of daylighting in schools. Four practitioners of daylighting in schools will present case studies and cost analyses on these types of building projects. Registration for the symposium is $50 and will include the luncheon with Sandy Wiggins.
