Shell Oil Company, a global energy company operating in 145 countries, has donated $50,000 to the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University. The funds will go to the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Shell contributed an additional $25,000 each to the College of Management and the Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences in the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. Representatives from Shell presented a check for $100,000 to the three colleges September 29.
Dean Nino A. Masnari said, “We greatly appreciate the support that Shell Oil Company has shown NC State. This gift will enhance current programs and provide us with many new opportunities.”
