Parasoft Corporation Supports Computer Science Programs at NC State University

Parasoft Corporation has made a software donation valued at approximately $325,000 to the Department of Computer Science at NC State University. The software gift includes licenses of Jtest software, an automated unit testing tool designed to test Java classes. Headquartered in Monrovia, Calif., Parasoft Corporation is a provider of automated error prevention software.

According to Dr. Laurie A. Williams, assistant professor of computer science at NC State, Jtest will be used in the department’s software engineering courses.

Dr. Alan L. Tharp, head of the computer science department, said of the Parasoft gift, “We are extremely appreciative of Parasoft’s generosity and their support of NC State University and the Department of Computer Science. Strong and active partnerships between the university and members of the global business community are core to our mutual success.”
